Spring 2014 Trends: Collarless Coats

Hey y’all … your guide to the biggest fashion trends for spring continues tonight.  There are so many fun trends to try this season, and you don’t have to go broke doing it, either. For the next two weeks, I’m going to be breaking down all of the hottest trends for spring, and giving you tons of options for working them into your closet.

Tonight: gorgeous collarless coats.

What to look for: This trend can come in all colors, shapes and styles, as you can see below. From more mod 1960s styles to a totally 70s fringe design, this is a super fun trend.  Despite the nods to past decades, though, there’s something really timeless about a collarless coat. It just screams chic. The longer, dressier styles are a little bit Olivia Pope, no?

What to wear it with: If it’s a more dressy style coat, then I would probably wear it to work since it will typically jive more with your workplace wardrobe. But for the more casual styles, you can really wear them with anything!
