The IBM Smarter Commerce Campaign

Good evening, my lovelies!  I hope you are enjoying what is left of your weekend.  Personally, I am getting ready to watch The Walking Dead on AMC later, and prepping breakfasts and lunches for the work week.

Anyway, I have something super exciting to share tonight: IBM has invited me to participate in a ground-breaking campaign in which I’ve been invited to share my personal story (and so have y’all) around the role technology and social media play in our lives.

It’s called IBM Smarter Commerce.

Basically, I will be sharing different aspects of my Smarter Commerce story for the next 30 days and you, too, will be invited to share your story. And what’s even cooler — not only will they (IBM) be following the conversation, but the best contributions by both me and you will be featured by IBM as part of the campaign.

So, when you see posts about the project (they’ll all be tagged #MySmarterCommerce), please do jump right into the conversation in the comments and share your opinions on what SmarterCommerce means to you, and how technology and social media play into your lives and careers. I am really curious to know!

I have so many great posts planned around the Smarter Commerce topic over the next month, too — including:

  • Which retailers I feel have the best online, in-store and mobile shopping experiences;
  • Which retailers I feel are excelling in social media;
  • And all of my thoughts on how technology, social media and Smarter Commerce have helped me remain an NYC Recessionista!

Like I said, IBM will be following along in real time over the next 30 days, and the best comments will win $50 gift cards from IBM just for joining the conversation.

I can’t wait to get started and to hear from all of you!

PS – In the interest of full disclosure and just plain old honesty, I have been invited by IBM to share my honest thoughts and experiences around Smarter Commerce, and as part of this collaboration, IBM may provide me with product, access, content or other forms of remuneration.  All opinions are expressly my own. #spon
