DAY ONE: New York & Company $200 Work Week Challenge

Happy Monday, y’all!  I am so excited to kick off my New York & Company $200 Work Week Challenge!

Just as a refresher — New York & Company
wants to see if I can put together 5 days of wear-to-work-worthy outfits for under $200. They provided me with a gift card for $200 to go shopping at New York & Company, which I did last week. Now I’m going to document my purchases here on the blog in my daily outfit posts. And at the end, I’ll recap what I purchased and will reveal whether or not I was able to stay on budget 🙂

Here’s what I’m wearing today —

This abstract print boat-neck dress paired with sparkly gold hoops (see similar here).  I really liked this dress because 1) it had elbow-length sleeves, which is conservative for the office and looks great on most everyone, 2) because of the retro pattern of course, and 3) because it has a very flattering fit to it, yet it’s still completely comfortable. It’s basically your perfect wear-to-work dress.

I love the two buttons and the tab detailing on the side of this dress; unexpected details are what make a dress special.

The earrings add just the right amount of sparkle, but they are still really dainty. This outfit makes me feel confident and sassy.

Best part of all? This dress is on sale right now for $27.98!

Stay tuned for Day Two tomorrow!
