DAY FIVE: New York & Company $200 Work Week Challenge

TGIF, everyone! It’s time to reveal my outfit for the fifth and final day of my New York & Company $200 Work Week Challenge!

Just as a refresher — New York & Company wanted to see if I could put together 5 days of wear-to-work-worthy outfits for under $200. They provided me with a gift card for $200 to go shopping at New York & Company, which I did last week.

All this week, I’ve been documenting my purchases here on the blog in my daily outfit posts. Tomorrow, I’ll recap what I purchased and will reveal whether or not I was able to stay within budget 🙂

In case you missed it, this was yesterday’s outfit. And here’s what I’m wearing today —

If you’ll recall, I wore this dress by itself earlier in the week. Now, I’ve just thrown on one of their pencil skirts right over it (see similar here, here and here) for a completely different look.
I love how the skirt brings out the blue in the dress — and gives the whole outfit a really bold pop of color. As I’ve shown you the past couple of days, don’t be afraid to play around with layers. You can easily throw a sweater on over the top half of a dress, or a skirt over the bottom half of a dress, and make a brand new outfit out of existing pieces you never would have thought to pair together.
The last piece I added — since today is our holiday party — is a statement necklace (similar herehere and here). It definitely makes the outfit a little more dressy and festive.

Stay tuned for tomorrow, when I will recap my purchases and reveal my spending total. AND I’ll show you even more outfits I can make out of what I purchased!
