Fall Fashion Inspo a.k.a. This Week’s Monday Must-Haves

I’ve been diving into fall fashion inspo already — because believe it or not, yes, fall is just around the corner — and I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces for this week’s edition of Monday Must-Haves.

As a reminder, I shared in my recent blog post about Old Navy fall new arrivals that we’ll be seeing the following style trends this fall:

  • Super-Sized Silhouettes: Say goodbye to form-fitting and hello to fashion with breathing room. Think coats that could double as blankets, blazers with linebacker shoulders, and trousers so wide they whisper runway royalty. It’s volume with purpose—and we’re here for it.
  • Dark Romance: Think gothic, but make it glam. Black lace, sheer layers, corsetry details, and rich velvet tones are serving modern-day vampire drama (without the neck bites). Pair it with deep burgundy lips and you’re the mysterious lead in your own moody fashion film.
  • Heritage Remix: Plaids, tweeds, and classic tailoring are getting a remix with modern cuts and surprising color pops. Its grandpa-core meets cool-girl energy—a vibe best described as Oxford meets off-duty model.
  • Neo-Utility: Cargo is chic again—but this time, with a twist. Utility jackets, skirts with statement pockets, and luxe workwear in high-end fabrics are making practicality look like pure style genius.
  • Color Crush: Burnt Citrus & Dusty Rose: This fall’s color palette turns up the warmth with tangy oranges, deep marigolds, and soft blushes that look plucked from a vintage Polaroid. Think cozy, nostalgic, and Instagram-ready.

And as you can see, the pieces I’ve been swooning over below definitely fall into these trends.

I love this pointelle knit vest in this gorgeous chocolate brown so much. You can totally wear it by itself now into late summer / early fall, and then when it’s colder outside, you can wear it open layered over a floral long-sleeve boho style dress.

The vest would pair perfectly with these gorgeous floral cropped wide leg pants. I love the unique pattern and the silhouette is perfect for the summer to fall transition.

I love these pave oval hoop earrings and this mother of pearl pendant necklace. They’re both such classic pieces and both go really well with anything — you could easily add this necklace to a stack layered with other pieces, and these earrings would be a super chic daily pair.

This beige and black crossbody bag can also be worn as a shoulder bag, which is super versatile. And the two-tone design means you can wear it with tons of different colors. Ditto for this two-tone canvas trim belt.

I love the little stud detailing on these faux leather penny loafers. They give an otherwise very preppy silhouette a little bit of an edge.

I’m pretty sure I’m going to trade in my utility jacket and upgrade to a barn jacket this fall … I love this corduroy collar barn jacket from H&M.

Last but certainly not least, this floral mini swing dress is such a great summer-to-fall staple. You can wear it now by itself, and then in fall with a cardigan or blazer over it, and then even into winter layered over a turtleneck, button-down, or sheer lace top … so many possibilities!
