What NYC Recessionista Wears: summer romper + bareMinerals BARESKIN foundation

It’s been so long since I’ve posted outfit photos!  Today I went out to run some errands, and since it’s been so humid this weekend, I wanted something super comfortable. It was a great time to try out this romper I scored at the Old Navy fall preview.

Blue chalcedony teardrop earrings (similar) / printed romper c/o Old Navy (similar here, here, here and here) / LOFT tank / silver bangle c/o Kendra Philips / rose gold watch c/o Caravelle by Bulova (similar) / metallic Birkenstocks
So it’s not the most flattering thing I’ve ever worn in my life, but good lord is it comfortable. The fabric is incredibly soft and light. Perfect for muggy days.
On a separate note, I’ve been meaning to share one of my favorite new beauty find with y’all. For about a month now, I’ve been testing out bareMinerals BARESKIN foundation (their new liquid formula). At first, I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about using a liquid foundation. I’ve been using bareMinerals for almost a decade now, and it’s the only foundation I’ve ever used, but I’ve always used the powder. But because I’ve never really found a bareMinerals product that I didn’t love, I figured it was worth a try.
Well, It’s been about a month since they sent it to me and I really love it. The first few days, I was wondering if it was going to feel super heavy and cake-y, especially given the fact that it was the middle of summer. It totally doesn’t. It feels light, creamy and wonderful.
Today I took some close-ups in the natural light … all I’m wearing on my face is foundation and a little blush.
I think this foundation feels even more natural than their original formula, which is hard to imagine. If you’re at all on the fence about trying it out, don’t be. It’s awesome.

Editor’s note: bareMinerals sent me the foundation and brush to test out and share my honest opinions. I have not otherwise been compensated for this post.
