What NYC Recessionista Wears: neons and pastels

On Saturday, I attended the Bare Minerals ‘Go Bare’ tour stop at nearby Westfield Garden State Plaza in N.J. They’ll be hitting select cities across the country for the next few weeks, so you should definitely pay them a visit if you can.

I actually left the house without any makeup on (gasp!) so I’d be giving them a blank canvas to work their magic 🙂

It may sound weird when I say I am wearing a pajama top, but it’s definitely something everyone should experiment with.  I tried it after seeing it on the mannequins at J. Crew and I totally love it.  The shirt is ultra soft, but it still looks polished.

I’ve been carrying this J. Crew purse for awhile now and it’s totally grown on me. I had my reservations about buying a neon orange purse, but it’s surprisingly versatile. The fact that I throw it on with mostly pastels and not feel like it’s out of place is a testament to the neon trend.

After having my foundation consultation, I came home with completely dewy and glowing skin. I barely had anything on and yet I wasn’t feeling self conscious at all!
