NYC Recessionista Roundup: Embroidery

There’s just something about embroidery that screams summer to me … I think it’s the fact that it feels completely at home on the beach, drink in hand, blowing gently in a tropical breeze.  Have I made you sick for summer yet?

Here are some of my favorite embroidered pieces for summer …

(Design by NYC Recessionista; images courtesy of retailers as follows)

1) this collared top from Modcloth … love the pleats, the color, the collar … all of it.
2) this gauzy top from Old Navy … the pale yellow stripes and mint embroidery make it so fresh.
3) this tunic from Anthropologie … quite possibly the perfect summer tunic.
4) this blouse from Anthropologie … GAH!  I am obsessed with this ruffled shirt. It’s so darn chic.
5) this pencil skirt from Anthropologie … in person at the store, the detail on this skirt is amazing.
6) this dress from Modcloth … no necklace whatsoever needed with this dress.
7) this georgette shirt from Forever 21 … love the dainty design at the shoulders.
8) this collared shell from Anthropologie … this great design is masquerading as a peter pan collar.
