What NYC Recessionista Wears: New Year’s Eve

My New Year’s Eve outfit is probably the most unexciting New Year’s Eve outfit of all time!

But there’s a perfectly good explanation for it … you see, our regular NYE plans are totally casual.  We always go to our favorite neighborhood steakhouse on special occasions.  And the best part about it — besides the amazing food — is that it’s not a super fancy place.  It’s completely unpretentious.  My husband can wear jeans and a button down, I can wear flats, and we can pig out without a care.

This is one of my new skirts from the last big LOFT sale — I really love the art deco pattern and the rust orange shade.

And even though I’ve only had them for a couple of weeks, I’ve definitely broken in my new Clarks boots — and holy crap, are they comfortable.
