What NYC Recessionista Wears: Falling for Tweed

Normally on Fridays I wear jeans to work, but yesterday I had a reason to dress up — I wanted to look nice for the Ann Taylor Spring 2013 press preview I attended.

To me, this is a perfect fall outfit … and my hubby complimented me before he left for work, saying it looked very mod 🙂

If you looked up “fall skirt” in a fashion dictionary, I am pretty sure there’d be a picture of this skirt next to the definition … it’s just so cozy and warm. I love the buttons, and I love that the tweed has specks of gold and burnt orange in it.

I know I’ve talked about how much I love Clarks before, but seriously, if you want to be both stylish and comfortable, definitely check them out. They’ve really upped the style quotient lately.
