What NYC Recessionista Wears: autumn weekend

Happy Monday, y’all!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I was out and about for most of it, and I did far too much shopping 🙂
Looking at these pictures tells me that 1) I own far too much J. Crew (is there such a thing?!), and 2) it was a really good idea to buy some new skinny jeans this weekend … I look like I’m dressed for work, and this was what I wore on Saturday!
Earrings from NansGlam on Etsy / J. Crew Factory plaid button down (similar) / J. Crew Factory sweater / J. Crew necklace (similar) / Pandora bracelet / Gap bracelets (similar here and here) / Timex watch / Essie nail polish in Material Girl (similar) / J. Crew pixie pants / J. Crew boots (similar here and here)

Since it was so chilly on Saturday, this turned out to be the perfect fall outfit – it was warm enough without being bulky. And I really like the oatmeal sweater paired with the red and blue plaid.
Just like my tall J. Crew boots, I also purchased these several years ago at a J. Crew sample sale, and they’re starting to show their age.  But, when boots are perfectly broken in, that’s when they’re most comfortable!
