RECAP: a ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ Baby Shower with Uncommon Goods

Last Sunday, I attended the baby shower of a very dear friend and coworker. Mallory is one of the gals I am closest to at my job, and she and her husband are expecting her first babies – twin boys!  Her mom threw her the most beautiful ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ themed shower.

I knew that I wanted to get her gifts that were unique and
super special, so I headed to one of my favorite websites for gifts — Uncommon Goods.
I’ve been shopping there since I was in college over a decade ago …
they always have just what I am looking for! Founded in 1999 and
headquartered in Brooklyn, Uncommon Goods is an privately-owned
retailer that features unique designs and handcrafted gifts created in
harmony with the environment and without harm to animals or people.
They’re even a Certified B Corporation! Most of the products they carry
are created right here in the USA, too, which I totally love. And about
one-third of their entire collection incorporates recycled and/or
upcycled materials. It’s pretty much a no-brainer!

One of my favorite things about Uncommon Goods is the gifts they have for kids and babies (which you can find right here). They have a lot of items you just don’t see in other places. They even have great gifts for moms (which you can find here) and a ton of gifts you can personalize (which you can find here).

Since she’s having two boys, I got her these hilarious ‘mustachifiers’ –so funny.

I couldn’t resist these adorable baby athletic socks, either.
They’re turning their downstairs family room into a farm-themed play area for the boys, so I also picked out these organic cotton teether toys in the shape of vegetables.

She also got this set of boa stacking rings. I wanted to get her this insanely adorable fox clock for the nursery, too, but one of her friends beat me to it!

What kinds of gifts do you love to give when you go to baby showers? Do you usually shop from the registry or select something special?
Editor’s Note: Uncommon Goods graciously provided me with these amazing gifts in exchange for sharing my love of their site with my readers.
