Duru Olowu for JCPenney

Over the weekend, I was able to go check out the Duru Olowu for JCPenney collection … and it’s insanely gorgeous in person.  The fabrics are really good quality and the accessories were very well done … in all, I give this one serious snaps.

This mixed animal print dress — made of linen which I love — was one of the standouts of the collection for me.

This clutch is another one of my favorites. Feels and looks a lot more expensive than its price tag in person.

I loved the fit of this jacket and am really considering going back to buy it —

These bangles (here and here) and cuffs are fun and colorful for spring.

As if the whimsical leaf pattern on this incredibly chic trench wasn’t enough, the fit is also superb. The same pattern is right at home on a full skirt, too.

This gorgeous floral pattern is like sunshine in a skirt.

The pattern on this bag – inspired by Native American tapestries – is so bold and beautiful. It does double duty, too, from a tote to folded over as a clutch.

This ruffle blouse would be equally at home paired with skinny jeans or tucked into one of their skirts.

The collar necklace, spike bracelets and tassel necklaces are also totally on-trend.

It’d be pretty impossible for these patterned notebooks to go unnoticed.

The fabric of this sundress (in emerald, the color of the year!) feels really luxe and I love the shape.

This may look like a skirt but it’s actually shorts – genius!

The light and flowy shape of this peplum dress is gorgeous! 40s with a very modern twist …

This bag is equal parts sophisticated, ladylike handbag and relaxed cross-body, with it’s extra strap.
