Just sad

Earlier today I felt like I've been having such bad writer's block lately, but I am sitting here eating my lunch and my Twitter feed is blowing up about Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys. I cannot believe he has passed away from cancer. Little did I know where my next topic would come from :(


The Beastie Boys were a HUGE part of my adolescence.  I cannot even really put it into words because I am still so shocked, but their albums were among the first that I ever purchased. They were so incredibly talented, and stylish and just cool. And as I grew up, realizing that they also cared about social issues made them all the more appealing and genuine.
