Today I want to wish one of my bestest friends Valerie a Happy Birthday ... yes, her name is Valerie AND she was born on February 14th AND she has the most gorgeous red hair I think I've ever seen in my life :)

Valerie and I met almost 12 years ago when we lived down the hall from each other in the dorm freshman year of college. I was having some difficulty adjusting to college life, and she was one of the nicest and sweetest people to help me get used to being away from home. That turned into the discovery of a mutual love of music, shopping trips, Sunday mornings spent at cafes, and a friendship more than a decade long.
Now we've been through graduations, career changes, marriages and babies (!) and even though we're separated by geography, we still manage to stay in touch somehow.
