Weekend Wants
Here are some things I'd love for this weekend ... a.k.a. my Weekend Wants.
1) To shop ... I have some gift cards (one for J. Crew, one for Gap) that are burning a whole in my pocket. Maybe I will use them this weekend and pick up some new goodies.

2) To have some fun ... my sister and nieces are in the city for a visit today, so we're most likely out having fun somewhere at this very moment :)

3) To do some reading ... what do y'all enjoy reading? Personally I love cheesy chick-lit all the way ... right now I am right smack in the middle of Match Me If You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Her books are so much fun.

4) To have a nice New Year's Eve Dinner ... My husband and I have started a bit of a NYE tradition for ourselves. Each year, we have an early dinner at our favorite restaurant and thenroll ourselves walk home.
Along with pretty much everything else on the menu, I love their Greek Salad.

5) To not set my alarm ... last weekend was so super stressful that this weekend, I'd love nothing more than to sleep in.

Weekend Wants

1) To keep my sanity ... Tomorrow, for the first time, I will host a holiday. My husband's family is coming over for Christmas Eve. I've never hosted a Christmas anything before. Not even Thanksgiving. I'm cooking for ten people. There will be ten people here in our one-bedroom apartment. Ten!
Lord help me.
2) To see my family ... On Sunday morning, we're heading upstate to my family's house for a Christmas Day dinner. I can't wait to see my parents, my grandparents, my sister and her family, and my friends. And I can't wait to give them their gifts.
My niece Abigail and I in 2007 for her first Christmas.
3) To not feel sad when it's all over ... Every Christmas when my husband and I are driving home, I get incredibly sad. I just have this melancholy feeling I can't get away from.
To be honest, it makes me think of this song.
4) To relax ... For pete's sake, I write this pretty much every week, don't I? Maybe after tomorrow night :)
5) For you to have a wonderful holiday, too ... I want to wish you, my readers, the most magical of holidays. I hope you find yourselves surrounded by the people and things that you love.
